Wink Re: Kawasaki 250cc Ninja

I just got a bike and i got a 92 yamaha xj600 seca. Great first bike. hits 600cc. if you get the 250cc your going to get bored with it pretty quick. go for a 600cc bike instead of 250cc.

The XJ600 runs like a 250. I'd know, I have one.

If you like the 250, get the 250... cheap and easy to find, since many people buy them to learn on, and then sell them the following year.

Re: Kawasaki 250cc Ninja

no offence to any riders of the XJ,

but i'd go the 250 unless your to large to fit it comfortably.

you can always upgrade once you have experience. if you start too big and die then you can't try again

going for a 600cc bike right away means different things....your 600cc bike is a good bike, but is a different breed then say a brand new ZX-6R or R6 or Something of the like....If you do get a 600cc bike, get an older one that you can drop and not worry about...my recommendation is go with a new(er) 250cc bike...that way it looks better usually becuase there isn't a previous owner, and also you will have a nice manueverable (sp?) bike that won't shred your paycheck into a million peices when it comes time to payments....work smarter not harder...

Re: Kawasaki 250cc Ninja

I have a 2006 Ninja 250 and love it! It's very quick for a 250, handles very well and is a cheap bike! I would stay away from a 600cc bike until you get real comfortable on the 250.
