Tamiya Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja

The Kawasaki is as good as finished.Just needs the number plate at the rear and a few nut and bolt heads adding.I may also drill out the front brake disc holes or give them a wash.Enjoy the pics and if you have any questions or feedback feel free to post it.Thanks for looking.Possible next build is Ducati 916.

A few things to watch out for if you are going to build the kit.The inside of the fairing is body colour not black as suggested by Tamiya.Take extra care fitting the mirrors.Take special care fitting the rear seat unit and the seat itself (it is a very tight fit in places) and all your hard work could be easily ruined.

I like it! You mentioned a few things to finish, yes, they all need to be finished but I don't mind. The color really grabs me - like any other Kawa's in the real life. OK, we don't judge bikes by the color, but I like the color and that's it!

Splendidly realistic build

(...therefore you definitely need to do something with those front rotors )

Re: Tamiya Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja

Great build! That clear is absolutely awesome. I would tend to agree about drilling out the front rotors or a wash.

Can't wait to see the Ducati! That's on my "to-do" pile and I'd like to have a WIP to follow!!!

Re: Tamiya Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja

Looking great Steve.

How long do you have to wait for the clear to harden?

Waiting for the next build.

I painted all the body parts first so whilst I was building the rest of the model they were drying. It had about a week and a half drying time in all.But it says you can polish after 48hrs on the instructions.
