Dear god, would someone please make a sticky thread or mention this in a faq or something?
 Trust me, there is NO, i repeat, absolutely NO way ANYTHING electrical could create enough pressure to charge an engine. The shear ammount of electricity that would be needed would require a power source so big and heavy that it would negate any of the benefits.(that, or you could run a really long extension cord from your house to your car...)

I completely agree with Captyn... There is no way something with a 2.7 amp draw off your battery could charge an engine anywhere remotely close to an actual turbo or supercharger.
The only benefit that i could see would be spiraling the air as it goes through your intake so as to cut down on turbulence

Im not sure exactly how to explain so i wont try.. because odds are some guy that actually knows everything about aerodynamics and gas flow will point out everything i have said incorrectly and embarass me.
The only thing that i can say for certain is that my frined bought one of those "Tornado" things off an infomercial. Its a piece of metal that fits into your intake tube with a few angled pertrusions that spirals the air as it enters the intake manifold. It actually increased his gas mileage by about 4mpg after he installed it although there wasnt any noticeable hp increase like the ad claimed; i suppose thats to be expected with just about everything you buy off tv. I watched one of the infomercials for these things and it shows a couple different experiments that show how spiraling air increases the speed of its flow. I thought the speed increased because the spiraling helped to eliminate turbulence. If i am incorrect in any of my facts, i would love for someone to explain that really knows what they are talking about

Spiraling air in a carburetor set up would kick up fuel droplets along the bottom of the intake maifold giving a better air fuel mixture that is easier to burn.
the efi has injectors and since the spray is so fine... spiraling the air is just a waste of time. that and also the fact that the fuel is injected into the head and not into the intake manifold. The only way I see sprialing air giving better performance is if it some how creates a low pressure area (vaccum) behind it which causes more air to be drawn in.
