d16z6 swap info
Just letting you all know that i just finished swapping my d16z6 into my 91 hatch. just a couple of things first off...
on many swap sites they say to use the clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel from the d16z6 tranny because it is "bigger allowing more friction" they also say that you cannot use flywheel only, or clutch only, that you have to use the whole clutch assembly because it wont work piece together. all i have to say to this is..... PURE BULLSHIT. the clutches are the exact same size. i took out my stock DX clutch and pressure plate and it is the EXACT SAME THING as the one from the 93 EX tranny. just to inform you all.... PICS TOMORROW...... |
