What's a good car for grinding?

I was riding around my town and I noticed a bunch of cars that looked like launch ramps....(I notice jumps easily, seeing as I have nothing esle to do.) I was wondering if anyone knows of a good square kind of car that I could buy for cheap and use to grind and jump on and beat the living heck out of.....Thanks.

It's an awful ironic question, but makes sese at the same time!?!

You have nothing better to do though than be on AF and ask about skateboarding?

j/p :silly2:

Well, I don't know any, but you have nothing else to grind there? Just try any old car! If someone comes at you with a bat, then it's not a good car to grind!

Hey now this is a potentialy interesting topic!

But remember if you were to go out and skate all over some one elses car we would have to come out and kill you.

But if you want a wreck to buy then cool!
My suggestion would be something American or Britsh from the late 50s through to the early 70s.
They should have a few good edges, as well as being really strong and will take a lot of punishment.

I suggest you try your local wrecking yards, and trading papers etc.
I have no idea what a car will cost, but if you get one with some bits still in it you might be able to sell a lof of them and recover the cost. Things like engine, interior parts, wheels etc. All things that you won't be needing.

And it might be an idea to knock all the glass out before you start riding on it, could be imbarrasing to fall through the window, and cut your self up on it.

I agree with moppie. For the most part, The older the better. There are lots of american made cars that would be pretty good, and you could probably pick up pretty cheap.

Good luck

one word: Volvo's. Find an old "tank" model sturdy as crap and i think fairly cheap.... and safe... i've been programmed to assume Volvo = safety.

Lots of straight edges, and made from lots of very strong steel.

ahh now I get this thread, I thought at first you mean you wanted an old car to go jumping and grinding in, whilst driving it. I was wondering how you intended NOT to injure yourself. But now I get it.

I'rd suggest anything Eastern Bloc for this kind of car. Lada, Skoda, Izmash, that kind of car.

You should be able to get them cheap as no one wants them.

I think something like an early model Caprice or Oldsmobile would be good.

Also a Camaro, that is in shoddy condition is another excellent choice
