Sohc Zc Wtf?

So, I know what a ZC is or at least I think I do. ZC is a dohc D16 right? Came out of the JDM civics right? Ok, so if someone has a SOHC ZC, isn't that just the damn ol' D16A6? WTF? Someone inform me here. Am I missing something?

I know there are SOHC Zc's out there, not sure of the specs or what it came out of. All I know is Melt has one

Oh boy... Here we go again...

I think there is some rare kind of SOHC ZC or something. Don't know what it's out of or anything, but there was a thread about this very same thing a few months ago.

All it is is the JDM version of the SI engine (SOHC D16A6)

It isnt that rare, a lot of people have em and dont know it.

Came out in the Concherto over here as I recollect. It's a D class engine, comes with either the D16 or ZC designations stamped on it (like our DOHC ZCs did).

isnt ZC stamped on alot of different types of engines from japan?

from what ive read its a popular designation on engine blocks...

Nope - Predominantly the DOHC 1600 from '83 - '92 (although it was redesignated the D16 partway through the run for ours).
