fuel pump

ive dropped the fuel tank and now have the pump houseing hanging .how in the hell do you get the pump disconnected from houseing? help please

What do you mean by disconnected? Do you mean removing the fuel pressure and return lines or what?

Off the fuel tank or out of the fuel pump pod housing? Do you have the whole pump assembly pulled out of the gas tank?

Why do you want to remove the pump itself? Normally you just replace the whole pod. Are you planning on putting in an aftermarket pump or I believe there is an AC Delco pump repair kit available.



I've never had one dismantled with the exception of the float and level sending unit. If you take it apart be careful not to break anything because that plastic has deteriorated from the fuel.

yes i was going to change just the pump and i thought you might know how to get it out of pod...is what i see in pitcher what i would get if i get pod .without the fuel filter of coarse
