Speedometer swap? DX - Si

Hi all,
Can the speedometer unit be changed out between gauge clusters?

I bought an Si cluster for my 89 Dx and I know that will swap right in. But I would like to use my Dx speedo, which has lower mileage.

Any help out there?

Thanx!

I think you can just roll-back the odometer on the new one, save you alot of trouble...

eaiser way...what i did

look at the top and bottom of either cluster. You can see how the black part is held on. Four clip like things. Pop it off. Unplug the light that has a wire leading to the black part. On the back behind the speedometer there are 4 screws, take these out and the speedometer should be free. Switch into new cluster. Installtion is reverse of this. and presto... correct mileage

Same thing I did (not running backwards)...got me a canadian cluster with tach and swapped my DX speedo to read mph instead of kmh. Kept old mileage...

If you wanted to just roll it back, what's the easiest way to do that?

Oh, and Ferris Bueller rules!
