Two words....Duct Tape...lol
Seriously, you might want to ask this on the se-r mailing list. A lot of sr20de gear heads on there. http://www.se-r-list.org/ But from the sounds of it, I dont think this applys to our engine...

I'd love to see what you all are talking about. Anyone have any pics of this 20-valve 4age throttle body thingy?

The 4age is a toyota engine used in sum mr2's most FX GT's, Sprinters, GT Apex's etc it is the toyota version of the sr20de (ie their mainstream engine for their cheap-mid class cars I think it is 1.6 litre and it has a pretty good power output! try a site like www.club4ag.com or www.toyspeed.org.nz they may have the info or be a better place to make a post regarding that engine! also if u have thta much money to spend why not just get a 4agz (the supercharged version of the 4age) my mate did that too his FX GT4 and it goes pretty good!

I'll just move this into the Toyota forum.
![]() And, The the ports and studs on the head are actualy quite differnt. It can and has been done, but requires some port matching and cuting and drilling of the manifold mounting plate. Its an easier swap onto a 4agze, then the ports match up, and only one hole in the mounting plate needs to be changed. Your actualy better off sticking with the stock intake. The quad throttle bodies will give you very minimal gains unless your building a 250+hp race only engine.

why not just swap the whole 20V engine over instead of swapping the quad TB?
if u do, look for a black rocker cover 20V. they have 6 speed trannies. very rare :coolguy: but IMO i'd go with 4AGZE, throw the S/C and bolt on a turbo instead. |
