Anyone switched to a K&N air filter?
I've recently seen an advert in a motoring mag claiming that switching my air filter to a K&N will give my Focus a small, but noticeable, power boost. I was wondering if anyone had tried this and had any obvious changes?
I'm driving a European spec 1.6 Zetec, so with only 100BHP it could do with a few extra horses under the bonnet and this sounded like a cheap and effective way of getting them.

Focus2000,
Here is a site that I have found interesting and useful www.zx3racing.com They have a ton of different air intakes on there. We only get the 2.0 Zetec here, 130hp.....but I am thinking of modding it to get the power closer to the Impreza. Do you know if that is the South African built Zetec engine under the bonnet on your car? Just interested.....SA were making the Zetec to export to Europe. How much power gain can you expect with the K&N? I have heard the Iceman system is better, and it certainly looks it, but nobody states a specific power gain. Ray
