Big Ideas

About 4 hours ago I was swapping parts around from a spare revell 99 mustang cobra kit, and I suddenly pictured a Ranger with a mustang front end and engine!
For the past few hours I've been hacking up parts from an AMT 95 Ford Ranger and the mustang kit, and have been trying to frankenstien parts together. It's proving to be pretty difficult, but its gonna look sweet when I'm done. Cobra front end (from the wiper cowls and down just in front of the door frame to the very front airdam) It'll have the 4.6 Cobra engine with exhaust, and front mustang suspension. I'll bend the leaf springs out back to get it to ride lower there. On the rear end, i'll put a hard tonneau cover with the cobra wing installed and i'll put in one of my custom rollpans. I've tried to find a way to get the rear cobra bumper and taillights in, but it's beyond my skills and tools to do a clean enough job. Interior will probably be a split. I want to use the ranger cab but swap in the cobra dash and seats, but I'll see how it all fits together and which combo looks the nicest. Of course, 18" cobra rims are going in. I think i'll be giving it a deep charcoal paint job.

The whole project is gonna take some mad patience and lots of time so I hope the end product justifies all the work!

Sounds like a diffrent model. I tried to combine a 1957 Chevy and a dragrace T bird. I failed it looked like a pile of junk nothing fit right so I trashed the whole thing. I might take a couple of my broken models and put parts together to form something diffrent. Got any Pictures? Keep us informed on how it goes.
