Questions about boreing (sp?) out the block!

I plan on getting a new block soon and a new head to perform the sohc Vtec swap in my crx!!! I wanted to know a few things! I want to bore the block out to a 1.8L, this adds torque (correct me if I'm wrong). I need to know what a good price to do this is. So whats a good price to bore my 1.6L block to a 1.8L? Second, do I have to change anything on/in the head? Third, would i need new pistons or can i somehow get away with bigger rings or something? Ok, those are my three questions. Bare with me if I sound stupid, I only know the basics on how a motor works compared to you guys but help me out!!! thx

there is no way your going to bore the block out to create 1.8 liters. in order to achieve this you will need a stroker kit whch is custom crank rods and pistons. stroked cars also have the tendancy for lower then stock redline because of changes in geometry. i have personally never seen a stroked honda motor before and ive been around to plenty of places. the cost is simply astronomical. ok well i cant say ive never seen one, at the drag strip when the pro's come in.

for the money you are looking at you might as well get a b16a or similar. gude performance sells stroker kits for ~$2500.

i think its just the crank/pistons/rings/rods and all the other little things to make it bolt up. But i could be wrong. Either way, its too much $$$$$
