Unhappy Transmission Help

Ok i got a problem i recently got a 93 prelude type s automatic, now if u know ur ludes thats probally the worst one to start out with, 1 becuase its automatic (and automatics are no fun) and 2 becuase its the type s with the F22. Now my question is anyone know any good shops in southern California that can do a transmission change, i know some people might say thats a big waste of money but i cant stand selling it i bought it for 4 grand and it came with 5 Zigen copse rims, Bilstien shocks, Neuspeed springs, Sway bars, Hid lights and its in immacualte condition. So if anyone knows any good shops in Southern Cali that can do a transmission change as well as an engine swap please help me out

Re: Transmission Help

Where in So Cal are you? There's tons of shops in La Habra, or on the other side of town in Torrence, also some in Sun Valley, Valencia, West Covina...lots of shops. Check the auto section of Recycler magazine for performance shop ads (not online Recycler.com, they don't have ads).

Re: Transmission Help

Just found this business card:

Tim Hastings
Upgrade Engineering
621 W. Whittier Blvd #8
La Habra, CA 90631
(866)777-VTEC
(562)694-2310

I dunno if Tim is still there but a few years ago these guys swapped a b16a into my CRX and got it to run high 13's with just bolt-ons. Huuuuuge shop, about 15 bays and a few warehouses full of cars waiting for swaps. They just put in a dyno when they did my car. Had my car for 3 months but it was worth the wait.
