70 1/2 Baldwin Camaro project

I just started new project. I rarely build US cars but this one is nice.
So far I only do some work on 454 engine.

That looks good...except you have the plug wires going into the block not the heads?

Yes, you are right. I finally found one photo where I can see whole motor how it looks. All photos was partialy visible and that wasn't clear to me.
Thanx for pointing me on that!
It's good that I still can fix that. :-)

Here is more progress on car, some chasis and some interior.
Only chromed parts are fat molded so I must find to cover spots nicely.

Yeah, red always looks kool on Muscle cars.
Only tip, I found when inserting the chassis, it seemed like the front windscreen was catching on the dashboard, so I trimmed about 2mm off the dash front edge at a slight angle, it helped quite a lot.
The rest of the kit is quite good IMHO, not the standard of Tamiya, but good by todays standards.I enjoyed it.I've done 3 70's Camaro's now, 3 more to do....
As far as stripes go, as there is none in the kit I masked mine and painted them...
But.........there are decal sets available, I now have 2 sets for the next two that I do................one day.
James at Moparbuilder
has them. And I think its "Fred Cady Decals" as well.
Here is a pic and a link to my album.
Good luck on your build. stump.

just a question about this camaro: are that rear fat tires the original Revell ones? They seem to be better than the usual Revell standard...
And the rear tire pattern is different from the front one, isn't it?
Good job! keep us informed on your progress..

LAPO> yes tires are original, but not Revell, it's AMT kit
In kit are normal and fat tires for rear.
I must say that I didn't check tire pattern yet.

Interior is almost finished now.

I like that black leather and red body (Ok not yet red but it will be ) combination, always work for me, so they are so generose to give you six tires in kit, that is cool of AMT.
Keep it going.
