with the 95 escort LX 1.9L efi is it common to have the headgasket go out if so, how often?

ok,
Here's the scoop.I make alot of money off this engine because of the head,matter of fact,i seek out this car and motor.I drive a wrecker so its not so hard for me.Now having said this i'll tell you thbat once you change it out the car will last for a good time.The 94 i have i got for free because of the head and have been beating the tar outa it for the past 4yrs.Yes it's comon for the stock to go out but usualy it is because the water pump or thermostat went out and person kept driving it.It's a good car,fix it and replace the other two things as well you'll be a happy camper

I've seen that partcular motor with as much as 170,000
on it,still stock.Though i do not have one,everyone i talk to about it that has it rants and raives second only to the 1.8

I have a '91 LX 1.9L that I bought new. It currently has about 358,000 miles on it with the same engine and tranny. Good luck, I guess.
