Head Gasket Leak
Are any of those stop leak products any good.
My car is running a little rough (hardly perceptible) and the 'Check Engine' light is coming on after a major overheating, and I was wondering which product, if any, to use on my Pacifica. Thanks, JB |

Re: Head Gasket Leak
They are all hit or miss to be honest. If your head is warped then its not even worth trying any because it wont work.
This is about the best one on the market http://www.barsproducts.com/1111.htm |

Thanks,
Yeah, the salesman at the local parts store said this was their most popular product too. |

Re: Head Gasket Leak
I hope it works for you, but like I said if your head is warped you are SOL and seeing that the car overheated there is a really good chance that the HG is gone and head is warped and will need to be machined back to spec. Good Luck

Re: Head Gasket Leak
You may have cooked your head gaskets if it's running rough after a major overheating.
just check your oil and se that there's no milky substance in it, and check your coolant to see there isn't any brown or black stuff floating in it. also check to see you're not getting white plumes of damp, white smoke. If you are, I got bad news for you. |
