Custom S2000 Progress

This is my latest project. A Honda S2000. It's gonna get some beautifull mods. First of al the front. The side airintakes are been removed. The middel airintake is made a little bigger.

Some nice skirts are made and the body is 3 mm wider at the end. At the back there are some mods also. The 'brakelight' (I'm not that good in English) is making place for a little sort of wing. Like M3 CSL has. Body isn't done yet, may take some weeks before it is.

The bonnet wil be changed too. There's just one small problem. It's broken in 6 pieces during cutting... Something to fix here

Well, next to the body mods I'm planning: to lower the rideheight, some nice 18" rims, aluminum mufflers (two of course ), Aluminum shock absorbers and nice colored springs, engine from a Honda Civic Si (Revell) and red flocking in the interior. I'm sure I forgot something but I will keep you guys posted.

Some comments would be nice

Re: Custom S2000 Progress

Well, it sounds a bit weird, about that civic engine. The problem is I can't afford the S2000 engine from HLJ. It's way to expensive. I set up a thread here at AF and asked some advice for a nice honda engine. The best option seemed to be a civic Si. Btw, much can be done with some scratchbuilding

Re: Custom S2000 Progress

i think mica blue would suit it well. The front bumper looks very nice, almost like it's crackin a grin at you.

Re: Custom S2000 Progress

for the civic engine, Id just use the block and do everything else from scratch. I like the way its looking and good luck with it.

Re: Custom S2000 Progress

Looking real good. I think it would be cool to get some rear wheels with dish. Awesome body work.

Re: Custom S2000 Progress

i im pretty sure i had the first S2000 with a motor in it(but willimos was much better) i used a transversly mounted ITR motor and its fire wall and a custom Comptech style supercharger.u have to cut off the tranny and put one in from a rwd car(i used one from a mustang) it does not look exactly right, but it still looks ok. make sure u mount it behind the front axle if u gonna do it

Well, I just used this wheels for the photos. I just didn't have anything better lol

For Astroride: I'm building everything from scratch. Got some fine pictures of the engine so everything is gonna turn out right if I'll put some time in it

Thanks for the comments guys!!!

Re: Custom S2000 Progress

Some progress again. I''m almost done with lowering the ride height. The new springs look good. Will show them some other time maybe. The exhaust are done and the hood is close to finished. Blue was an excellent choice. It isn't mice blue but metallic blue. Not very different, they didnt have mica blue at my LHS soo... In a few weeks I'll show the finished model without engine.
