Question How many U.K. Honda owners are on here?

Hi all just moved onto the board a few days ago with the U.S. 3rd Gen Accord group and was wandering how many U.K. Honda owners there are the A.F. Board

Not a uk citizen, but I'm happy to see 1 with an accord, you're the second accord owner on this europe forum, welcome.

Hiya there seems to be very little support in the U.K. for hondas (well the older ones anyway ) but that aint going to stop me.:bandit: I have a thing for hondas. The 3rd Gen Aerodeck isnt my first honda and I can quite happily tell you it wont be my last.

Well, i know the next honda won't be an european accord anymore, it such a pain to get something for it, it much better to own a honda which is sold in japan or the usa. although part are expensive 2.

I know what you mean. I cant even get a bloody workshop manual for my accord unless I go and buy the original honda one that comes in 12 sections and is £70 uk pounds a section or so. I know that in the US there is a haynes manual (I rang haynes in the uk to be told that honda never released details on the car) and a chilterns. Can the US and Euro(UK) cars be so different. Well I know they are emisions and safety wise but the lack of manuals and support really hacks me off. Then again my last honda (a 88 civic) there was no workshop manual in the UK but the same engine was fitted to many rovers and all the details are easy to find for a rover engine. If only the engine in my accord was fitted to a rover then I could do what I wanted. Ah well nevermind. Still it wont stop me getting another honda.

Paul get the photocopied version from Honda UK, the whole thing is less than £15. Get Honda to look it up on the computer then amend a C to the end of the part number and this will show up the copied version, most Honda parts departments dont realise Honda do them!

Hi
To be honest with you the local honda dealer to me is the biggest waste of time going. I had a civic before the accord and they messed me around trying to get me some parts for that. Then I wanted a powered by HONDA sticker (as found in the Jordan civic) for my accord and it took 6-7 visits to the parts department and me to give them the part number for them to even admit they could get it. So I will give it a try but get the feeling they will give me the old brush off. The manager of the place wants all the work he can and refuses to even help with the smallest thing. His answer to it all is "book it in we are honda specialists we will do it/sort it"
I cant for one afford the prices that main dealers charge and why would I take a 3rd Gen Accord to them when most of the stuff I could do if I had some sort of referance.

Paul
