Cool Finished: Ferrari F40

This is the Tamiya kit built box stock, painted with Tamiya TS8 and unpolished because the real F40's have a rough finish due to the kevlar weave pattern underneath the paint.

I used a .005 black pen to color in the 'belt'.

This is a joint build between my nephew and I, he started the kit years ago as I was teaching him how to build, then he moved away and no longer had time to finish it. He had assembled the chassis/engine and most of the interior, I painted the body and finished it.

Here's a close up of real car showing kevlar pattern beneath paint:

Hey,
Did you have trouble with the rear hatch closing correctly? Frank X.

The paint on your model looks much more cleaner than the original one
Very impressive!

Only the engine hood seems not to fit exactly- typically for this kit?
