Engine Codes
hey everyone, I drive an '03 GS, but I was really interested, what were the engine codes of the motors available in the eclipse since it's debut - til the 3rd gen's came out???

I am in search of the engine codes available on all the eclipses, including 1st and 2nd generation, including the turbo, non turbo, fwd, and awd models, all the engines that ever came in the eclipse during those 2 generations i wanna know about, i've heard you can swap out the dohc on the 2nd generation eclipses with the sohc found on the 4g64 engine in the 3g's

Every 2g non turbo has the 420a.

i've heard that for my 4g64 found in my 2003 gs, that i can swap out the dohc from a previous year, and put it on my engine, would that be a spyder engine - the same 4g64, or is it not dohc?

4g64 is SOHC. Whether or not you can swap a DOHC 4G63, turbo or not, is another question. Personally I wouldn't know, you should also try the 2000+ forum.
