Wiring Harness on a 1985 Ford LTD
We are trying to directly wire the new CD player in my friends LTD to the stock wiring. On the stock harness, there is a blue wire with red stripe, green wire with yellow stripe, and a yellow wire with some black or something, might also be a stripe. We just cant figure out which wires out of the Power, Ignition, and Ground go with which, since the harness would only serve them anyway. Dimmer is unnecessary so thats out of the picture. My first guess was that yellow went with yellow but it didnt seem to work...unless we blew a fuse and it wouldnt work at all with the other combinations. If anybody has this vehicle or knows which would go with which, it would really help.
Also...the rear speakers' negative wires dont run to the wiring harness. ??? We are confused. ??? |
