260Z Skyline Engine Swap!

Ok. Here's the deal. I can get a Skyline Engine and tranny for around 5k. I was going to swap my 2.6 with a 350 or 354 with a turboglide 350. BUT.... How cool would it be to "keep it in the family"? Nissan supercar motor for it's heritage sports car? Both are rear drive. I think this would KICK ASS!! Anyone give any comments on this. motor mounts, tranny, Diff, Etc...

Re: 260Z Skyline Engine Swap!

HEY! I just hit you back on another post! LOL. I want the RB26DETT. If your gonna go power go all the way right? I found a guy on ebay selling used RB26 for 2k -3k and he said he could get me a tranny for another 2k. I dont think it was the DETT I think it was just the DET.

Re: 260Z Skyline Engine Swap!

OO, the way you made it sound was that you were only getting the motorset for 5g. Which is ONLY the engine, and transmission. Were selling you the entire fuckin' front half of the car. EVERYTHING IS THERE. Mounts, brackets. Its tough to mount an engine without the existing parts, unless your an AMAZING custom fabricator. It's up to you who you want to go with... An established importation company... Or some shit trying to nickly and dime your ass. By the way our clips have under 40k. For the most part the GTR's have less.

Re: 260Z Skyline Engine Swap!

SWEET! I will prolly go with you guys. I like the fact that your on here talking with other people too. So for 5,500 total shipped
? Thats a solid deal dude. Can you think of anything else I would need to mount it in the 260z?
