probs with my VR6 ( Diary )

Last night I took my son home and my car was idling over 2k then back under 500 whenever I stopped for a light or stop sign. The traction control light/check engine light/EPC light all came on (EPC light eventually went off). Today I get in to go to work and start it and the idle goes over 2500 and I start to back up and hear a crunching noise ( check outside - no ice)

just left voice mail and email at dealership to call me back. I'll keep you posted. I'm guessing my MAF is messed but not sure on the traction control.

Re: probs with my VR6 ( Diary )

Well my Vag-Com buddy came over ... we cleared the list as sometimes one thing will set off other things ... well the air intake temperature sensor was the one that set it off to start ... going to get one from the dealer tomorrow - 80$ or so ...

side note ... my friend replaced someone timing belt ( TDI ) and had it idling as he was reading my codes and the teeth on the water pump just fell apart ... so now I have 2 disabled vehicles at my house ( 3 if you count my Truck that sits in the winter ... Just charging the battery overnight now )
