tranny probs with 84 TA

I have a 1984 Pontiac Trans Am with a 5.0 v8 and the trans pulls fine when the motor is cold but once it warms up it wont pull at all. Do you have any idea what it could be? It has way too much tranny fluid in it. Its an auto. What do ya think? Also I have heard that these engines burn oil alot after a certain mileage. Mine is and I dont know where its leaking so if you could help me out with that it would be great... Thanks!

Re: tranny probs with 84 TA

as far as the oil, try to put some Lucus Oil Treatment in there, it works great... as far as the tranny goes, is this a recent problem? try to let some fluid out and get it to the proper level, then see how it does...other then that im not sure, but may be able to help ya if you got some more details, lol.. good luck
