i'm soo car stupid

i'm soo car stupid...my "service engine soon" light came on my xterra today...180000 miles...good until now...what are the most COMMON reasons for this...i have a scheduled visit but what should i expect...don't really want to get ripped off

Do a search for more info that this.

Most common reason is the gas cap wasn't tightened all the way.

yea 180,000 and running well...guess what...the light went off ...i guess it wa the gas cap...thanks...

Cool 180K miles

I just bought an 02 SE SC because my 87 4Runner has 188K miles! What year is your X? Glad to hear the X is built like the old 4Runners!
