Exclamation Another 93 Lumina Problem!!!!

I just had tranny work done and my rnu was running fine. Suddenly a few days later the car would violently shake and throw the rpms rapidly from 500rpms to 3000 rpms all within a split second....then when the brake is applied...the car would clunk out. The shaking and stalling out only seems to occur when the car is warmed up or driving for awhile. The car also starts right back up fine but stalls again when it is put into reverse or drive. Is somethine stil not right with the transmission or could it be an ECM, DIS module etc?

PLEASE HELP ONCE AGAIN...I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE IT!!!

sounds like the TCC sensor is bad. You said you had transmission work done.... i'm assumeing just a Tuneup? filter and gasket? or was it rebuilt. They may have bumped the Torque Converter Control switch while messing around with transmission lines (for fluid flush) or if it was rebuilt, most places reuse your old sensors, and they could have damaged it. The shakeing at high speed could be the transmission changing from Overdrive to drive automatically, not being able to control itself. But the stallign while foot is on the brake is strange, if you would have just said, when i put it i drive it stalls, but your foot being on the brake and causing a stalling condition is strange. I had that happen to me on my bonneville, turned out to be the alternator. would only do it while it was warm. thing would even clunk out while on the freeway doing 60mph. take the car back to the place you got the trans work done, have them chec the sensor and or replace it. take the car to Autozone or Advanced auto to have the alternator checked.....
