Exclamation I need a Jeep Guru Here

I own a Jeep Wrangler Sahara 1992, I live in Honduras central America, Fuel economy on the 4.0L is killing the ride. Gasoline here costs $2.50 a galon. I need to get an idea for a good Diesel Engine swap for my Jeep. I know that the performance will be lower but i have to enjoy the ride. Please tell me it can be done. I miss my Jeep.

Re: I need a Jeep Guru Here

Yes it can be done and have been ordered this way from the factory, but doing this swap will cost major $$$. If you have it professionally done it will cost up towards $5000.00 on up depending on the type of diesel engine you swap in either used or rebuilt.
