Simply put, which is the best for the bottom dollar? I drive a 2000 honda accord coupe 4 banger. I would like input from who ran or are currently running these clutches rather than hear say.
Also, a nice flywheel discussion would be good too. Which is the best flywheel to run in a street performance application. Yes we all know less mass means faster acceleration, but flywheels also do other things besides slowing your acceleration down. My car is a daily driver and I like to play on the street. I want performance but not at the sacrafice of driveability or reliability. Shoot me back with high tech calculations and iterations on optimum flywheel weight or a simple I have one and I like it would work. DISSERTATIONS welcome!!! |

Re: Clutch & Flywheel, which brand is the best.
dude, use the SEARCH FUNCTION, I can clearly remember the last time this question was anwered. Some people will tell you CenterForce, others may say ACT. I went with the ACT Clutch and ACT StreetLite Flywheel.

Re: Clutch & Flywheel, which brand is the best.
I have searched and found a few subject where individuals liked excedy. Some say they wish they would of went with ACT. I hear to stay away from enter froce because centerforce can not fit their preffered design in to their smaller clutches. Unorthodox is very expensive for my accord. ~1100+ bucks for a flywheel and clutch.
I'm not familiar with the quality that ACT, Centerforce, Unorthodox, Fidanza, Indigo, Clutchmasters, and Excedy produce i.e. that is why I made post. Plus I wanted to hear a little bit about lightened flywheels and their attitude they put in a street car. |

Re: Clutch & Flywheel, which brand is the best.
I'd also like some info on flywheels. I've got a 96 ls with a lot of plans but has anyone experimented with different weights of flywheels and how the driveability is affected. Spoon Sports sells theirs at like 4.2kg which is the lightest i have seen. They claim it to be the perfect weight. Anythoughts on that?
