The best are the Carsound cats (made by Magnaflow). Just below those on the flow-rating tier are Random Tech and Catco. But if you can get yourself a Carsound.

need Carsound cat for 87 Starion

I found this thread via a search for Carsound cats. I am trying to find one with a 2.5" inlet and 3" outlet. Length of the cat I am not sure of. I need it for a 1987 Mitsubishi Starion/Conquest. I am in PA.

Thanks,

Derek

beware who does the installation for you. my friend got his buddy to put a random cat on his '01 v6 accord and royally f*cked things up. It turned out that the wire to the O2 sensor was too short, so he rigged up an extension to the wire. Then, after a few hours of driving, the insulation to the wire melted and shorted his ecu. So now he has to get a new ecu and 2 new O2 sensors. It will cost him about $1k to fix what his "friend" did. i would have kicked that guys ass.
