Is this just a huge waste of time?
Hey, i have been on for a month or so and relize that there are alot of the same questions being asked way too many times! I was thinking of making a huge noobie answer all, explain all, basics thread... would this be useful at all? And just to let you know ahead of time if i do do it, it will be pretty damn detailed. So i was wondering if i should start working on it or should i just can the whole idea. It'll touch on eng, car and mod terms. It'll answer questions on your options that you have what they cost, the gains and a whole lot more! so let me know what you think?! thx alot and let me know!

maybe this would actually be a good idea, in fact I really think it would!
what you could do is mass as much basic info and stuff as you can and make it helpful to new people. i would support it and help where I could as well. then maybe there could be a sticky for it at the top of the forum. now there is already a ton of info to be had at the top but some of it i think might be a little too in-depth for a new person to really understand. maybe some simple defs. and theory kind of stuff would be of help?

Honestly, it'd be a waste of your time. The new members (not n00bs) will never even read it even if the Moderators made it a sticky. Save yourself the typing and just let it go. All the answers to most questions are here and all you have to do is search. It won't help

We already have something like that, it's the search function. I think your thread idea is a great idea, but I don't think it will help. N00bs will look at that thread about as often as they search. They'll come on here, not search, not look around, and just ask their stupid questions. If we could get some active mods in here to help control this, I think the thread idea would be a great idea.

Hehe i see where you all are coming from. When i joined i just asked questions... i feel we could fix that by some how making it more obvious that there is a search function and let them know what it does. It took me a while to find out about this function seriously! If the mods do make it a sticky i WILL bust ass to make it super useful!!! And after i make it and people ask the same question dont answer and just direct them to my thread or to the search function... let them know how to use this site and be helpful instead of burning them. They didnt know better. But if they dont learn after a while ...have at it.. if they make asses of them selves then... let them know they just made a dumbass of themselves! thx alot and keep up the responses.

thx for the responses yall but i was looking for a few more ...i dont really want to start a project this large if i dont really know if i should keep on or not. Keep up the responses!!!!!

I don't know if people will actually use it, but if even a few do, it's a good idea. I mean, we ALL know how annoying it is having to answer the same question over and over every day. If a thread like this even helped reduce the repeated and stupid questions asked by a bit, it would be a big help. I know lots of us get annoyed by the same questions being asked and no one searching. Instead of sitting back and taking the crap (no offense), if we got more proactive and tried something like this, it could only help. It certainly won't make it worse. Besides, then thens an easy way to answer the repeated and stupid questions....post the link to the thread, and thats it...let them read it. If their too stuborn to read the info, that's their own fault.

well responses seem to be slowing down so i guess thats the last... keep responding though people but i think i made my decision. I'll go ahead and get to work on it and try really hard but itll be a while .. i have been pretty busy with school considering i am failing 3 of my 4 classes and all so it will be a while but i will be working it thx everyone for responding too!
