Question Car Neons

ok the car i have now, im going to drive it till it dies and car move a inch. so ive decided to add some stuff to it (you know to make it fun). i want to get car neons for under the car like coming from the chasy (like some of the cars in the movie fast and the furious, with the lights) now i was going to get car neons, but a friend of mine that has some lights under his car, said to get rope lights instead of neons, becuse neons breack when rocks hit them. so my question is does any one have any experiences with neons or know what it better, neons or rope light, or has any sugguestions. and if anyone knows if rope lights are as brigth as neons?

uhmmm well first off, this is the wrong place for this post.. but meh,
for your neons, if you get undercar neons, stick to smooth pavement... if you mount them to the underside of the car, and your frame does a bit of twisting, or your body twists around a bit, your deffinatly gonna loose em...just buy your neons from walmart if you think you might end up breakin em, they dirt cheap there
