Tons of "Pin Holes" with Tamiya Putty
Why am I getting all these pin holes with the use of this putty? I sand it smooth and with close inspection I can see little tiny holes in the putty. I apply it again and sand (ofcourse when it's dried) and the old holes may have been filled but I now have new ones to deal with. What's the deal with that? Are all putty like this?

Which Tamiya putty?
You might be better off filling the pin holes with a little primer applied with a brush.

I have the same problem sometimes. I think it might be old putty.

What I do is apply a thin layer of super glue over the putty and sand it out

When applying tamiya putty I usually mix in a bit of gunze thinner to make it less viscous. Since it flows more easily then, I don't have any air bubble problem when it dries.

That's a great trick, I will probably use it also sometime, as I have the same problem...
