I have a 94 grand prix with a 3.4 dohc v6. The problem I have is that when I come to a stop the rpm's jump from about 500 to about 1,500. I tried spraying starting fluid on the engine to see if I had any vacuum leaks but no change in idle. It runs fine while I'm driving but if I stop to long the idle bounces.
Pppppplllllllleeeeaaaassssse help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S. Already changed the ecu and the O2 sensor. |

u should check ur IAC(idle air control) motor. the motor maybe sticking. try tap on it with a hammer or something and c if the idle return to normal. somtime by tapping on it, it might free it up.

I tried to test it by removing it form the throttle housing. When I turned the car to the on postition it moved in and out, but when I turned the car off the plunger popped out of the IACV.
Any Ideas? |
