engine swap, v-6 5spd to 305 tbi 700r4
hey guys, I need help, i am buying a (wrecked rear end) 92 firebird w/ 305 tbi and an auto 700r4, and plan on dunking it into my 88 firebird v6 w/ 5spd man. besides the computer, what other stuff should i think of swaping, the 305 has only 13k miles and is a year and a half old, im almost 16 and am on a lawn cutting money budget. tools are not a problem. should i yank the motor and tranny or swap sub frames and then change fenders, hood and bumper
please help Frank the Tank Virginia Beach. Virginia |

Drivetrain wise everything from the 92 should bolt right up to the 88. The body panels are not the same though. I would just swap the drivetrain from engine to rear end and wheels, even the front suspension since the 305 will weight more than the 2.8. On the interior you'll probably have to change the console for the auto shifter.
