squealing when i turn left
i have a '00 silverado 1500 ext cab and every time i turn left, my truck squeals. it sounds like a belt is loose, but i already checked them and everything seems fine. it is really annoying to hear the squealing.
does anyone out there know what the fix could be?? |

could be the tire's rubbing?? maybe power steering pump is bad or just needs fluid??? kinda strange that it only does it when you turn left though.

It is the rubber flap on the firewall that the steering shaft goes thru that is squeeking. You can put some of that spray grease on it and that will stop it. I went thru this about 5 times with the dealer. I finally figured it out on my own.
