STD R32 Skyline Manual, When Does Boost Develop
I drove a Manual R32 Skyline with a HKS Sequential Blow Off Valve. It has a 3" exhaust and was basically stock as far as I know..
Any way in First Boost developed at around 3500rpm - 4000rpm and the built in Boost gauge at 7000rpm was a needly width over the 3/4 Line. I did notice on the Intake it had a pod filter under the bonnet and from the pod filter it had a rubber wrinkly tube that looked twisted and slight crimped! Is this causing the slow boosting? Is this much lag normal for an R32??

No i didn't see how much psi it was running but I know for sure the boost guage only started to move when it hit the 3000 mark.. then by 3500 you started to feel a good pull then by 4000 it flicked to 7000rpm pretty quickly.. also it felt like there was a bit of lag in between gear changes.. might have to test drive another manual to see if it was just that car or not.. it apparently was just passed through regency.. and it was pretty dirty not cleaned up and all...
hahah this is what was funny it had 64815 km's on the clock but the 4 was mis-aligned i'd say they wound the clock back....

When does it come on in the other gears?
If you floor it in 1st from 1000rpm, R32GTS-t's only hit full boost at 400orpm cos the gear is so short and there isnt enough load. Its a lot lower in the other gears
