'95 silverado reverse lights out

I checked the obvious thing, the bulbs, they are good. I don't have an owner's manual so I'm not sure which fuse(s) to check. I've noticed thru talking with people that there's a neutral safety switch...can anyone tell me where/how to find this? Anything else to try/check? Ps it's a 5speed

Check the bulbs. Then be sure the bulb sockets are good and not corroded. If they are known and good, then check the fuses, which one, you can either search the internet or just check all of them with a ground/test light. Or get a manual. If those three check out, then there is a backup switch on the trans, probably top driver side rear of tranny. And all wiring in between.

Did you by any chance just hook up trailer lights and brakes on the truck?

Some of the older trucks had a reverse switch on manual transmissions on the transmission. Also I had a 93 truck that I bought that the man who had it before me had the reverse light circuit hooked through a boat plug and every time the ground terminal touched the bumper and I put it in reverse the reverse fuse blew.

from what i've found, i'm thinking it's probably that switch on the trans. I've checked the bulbs, they look fine, I didnt see a fuse for the reverse lights, a lot of what i read said that they were on the same fuse and the signals, which work

nope, just bought it, there doesn't seem to be any alterations

I thought I'd update this. I was backing up one day and noticed that my reverse lights were working again. Put it out of and into reverse several times and they kept working. However it was just a fluke, after that day they haven't come on again. I'm confused
