r134a replacement low side valve

Hi,

I have a 1994 Mazda B4000. I just tried to charge the A/C system via the low side port. The coolant went in and the A/C got nice and cold. However when I removed the hose, I noticed that coolant was leaking from the low side service port valve.

After searching the internet I'm finding that most low side valves are Schrader type valves. However, this is definitely NOT a schrader; it appears to be some kind of black ball valve. Obviously, I need a new valve. I'm hoping to do one of two things:

1. Purchase an adaptor that simply screws on the top of the old valve, but has a schrader inside instead, OR

2. Purchase a replacement valve. In which case, I'll have to unscrew the old valve from the system.

Has anyone run into this issue? Does anyone know exactly which parts I need to buy?

THANKS
