Where to purchase a heater core?

What is the deal with finding anyone who carries a heater core for a 98 Rodeo 3.2. Is it getting to where we're not going to be able to find parts for much longer. If you know of a place that carries one without wanting $160-200, let me know.

Re: Where to purchase a heater core?

I checked out rockauto.com and came up with nothing which is pretty odd...

Then I searched ebay and they have some new ones, but it is hard tell what year it is for (contact the seller and find where they are made, if they are made in china skip it).

Also they have some used one on ebay (cheap and that way you know they will fit for sure).

Re: Where to purchase a heater core?

Thanks amigo-2k, I checked several of the new ones on ebay and they won't fit the Rodeo 3.2. As far as used ones, I'm leery of installing one and have it go out in a couple of months, with the amount of labor involved with installation. I'm thinking about getting some of those aluminum brazing rods and repairing the old one, if it's not to far gone.

I was telling a rep at A Z that I couldn't find one, He said, "I should be able to get you one". After about 20 minutes he finally gave up and said, "I don't understand why they are not available!" I told him I've searched around the net and haven't found but one, and they wanted $180 with shipping. My guess is, as Rodeo's are getting older and less on the road, and it's not profitable enough for aftermaket makers to make them anymore.

Re: Where to purchase a heater core?
