dual cherry bombs exhaust system
I have dual cherry bombs on my 96 Chevy Cheyenne 1500 regular cab short bed however at the time when i did it i didn't have the time or means to finish it so it ends with the cherry bombs just behind the cab how would finishing the exhaust affect sound, performance, and anything else? thanks

the condition you now have is not good. install the extensions to the mufflers to avoid damage and to protect you from exhaust gases. have the muffler pipes output at the side of the vehicle not at the rear end under the bumper. the sound should be reduced slightly in the cab only ... |

installing larger tires will reduce your ability to get up and go ! they rob you of power and MPG ! using synthetic oil/fluids will produce some HP/MPG gain . |

Re: dual cherry bombs exhaust system
You live in the USA. Therefore, you are subject to all the federal emissions laws...the only question is whether anyone in your area cares enough to enforce them.

Re: dual cherry bombs exhaust system
When I had my 88, I had the cat removed and had straight pipes installed coming out the rear bumper... It sounded awesome. I loved that truck and the sounds it made (well until it was knocking but that's another story for another time). I would leave the cat alone, and just remove all the mufflers and run it straight out the back. It's not deafening in the cab, but it sounds good outside.
