Complete: 1972 Ventura Pro Tour.

This is a build I did for Scale Auto Magazine. The article is in the February issue on sale now...

Details below:

Jimmy Flinstone Resin Ventura body
New Revell Nova used as donor for engine, interior, and chassis.
Custom Turned aluminum sleeves done on my lathe for wheels and detailmaster Torque thrust D's for centers
Tamiya light blue paint and omni clear
Detailmaster and Pro tech detail goodies.

Everything is great. The paint is very smooth and looks flawless. the chassis is awesome, the motor looks VERY good.

but what's up with the headlights? With My Ventura kit (the original one that AMT put out MANY years ago) I cut out the kit headlights and put in some clear rounds. it really wasn't all that hard, and you could probably do this still if you wanted it to look just absolutely perfect. If you show it at a contest, it will be a huge deduction since you put so much effort in the rest of the car.
