Lug nut caps won't come off a flat!!! -Saturn SC 1
I have a flat tire on my Saturn SC 1 and I can't get the lug nut caps off. I've never had to remove anything like this. The caps are rounded and inset- pliers slide right off of them and a socket wrench doesn't lock on.
I've attached pictures of the caps. Any ideas? |

Those lug nuts need a key.
I think it was Discount Tire that told a friend of mine he needed new lug nuts. They put those on then forgot to give him the key. Take your picture of the lug nuts, a local tire store should know who sells them. It might even be in your glove box.

To The OP:Those are aftermarket low profile wheel nuts and require that was included with them for removal. I pretty certain that tool is not available for purchase separately. Your local auto parts store should have some Dorman wheel nut sets on display. Buy Dorman part number 711-355. It will be a set of 20 low profile M12 X 1.5 lug nuts just like the ones you already have and it has the tool you need. I have these exact same nuts on my car and wrote the part number on the socket (aka "special tool") just in case it broke. It hasn't broke yet, but it felt somewhat fragile when I bought them. Good Luck
