Removal of Console
1996 Grand Am SE
I tried to remove my console and there's a 10mm bolt in the middle of the console with a plastic cap on it. I have loosened the bolt as much as I can turn it, however, it will not come out so that I can properly remove the console. What gives? I has an '89 LeSabre T-Type, and a 97 Maxima (also owned an 88 T-Type, 92, and 95 Maxima) all having consoles which I have previously removed. I never had this issue before. It seems as if there's a nut on the other end, which doesn't make since because if I don't remove this bolt, I can't lift the console...Help please. what part of the console is this bolt?
I was thinking some might hav a clip/nut thing that can just spin...might have to cut the bolt and try an dreplace it later.
