95.5 Isuzu Rodeo running rich
I have a 1995.5 Rodeo with 3.2L and 160k miles. It runs rich. Black smoke from exhaust. No codes. Air to fuel ratio is 2:1. Timing is good. What should I do to fix this?

Re: 95.5 Isuzu Rodeo running rich
Where are you getting your air/fuel ratio? Ideally, air/fuel ratio is 14.7:1.
You could have any of a number of things wrong. Leaky injectors, bad fuel pressure regulator, coolant temp sensor, plugged up air filter.....that's off the top of my head.

Re: 95.5 Isuzu Rodeo running rich
I have a snap-on mt-2500 brick. One of the pids displayed is the air to fuel ratio. I have already replaced all the injectors, fuel pressure regulator and air filter. I did not replace the coolant temp sensor because I was getting readings on both the dash gauge and the snap-on scan tool. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When I had this problem, it turned out to be the oxygen sensor.
