oil leak inside of car?

hey guys....and girls....recently i found oil inside my car, on the passenger side, right were you feet go. i started cheking around, and it seems to be coming from then air vent. you know, the vent where hot air comes in to wamr up your feet? well it seems to be leaking oil from there.....there is oil inside the vent as well as around the plastic vent. i tried to figure out from where is leaking oil, but the firewall is there, and thats pretty dry. any ideas?

Are we talking motor oil? Or are we possibly talking about A/C oil? Motor oil should be black and nasty. A/C would appear as just an oil spot? A/C oil would indicate a leaking evap or connector.

I might be wrong on this, but I'd say that there's absolutely no way that your vehicle is leaking motor oil through the airbox.

thanks for answering....the oil seemed pretty clean....didnt smell like burned either....so im guessing is not motor oil. i have checked it again....but i havent noticed anymore leaks......i would try to check the a/c evap or connector to see if it has something to do with it...
