Nasty Vibration 30-35mph
Title pretty much says it. I checked for play in the wheels and nothing seems out of the ordinary. Thought maybe a tie rod end on the front wheels but not sure.
Anyone have an idea why my s10 would only vibrate and rumble between 30-35mph? It is only 30-35mph that it does this... Any advice is welcome! Car info: 1999 s10 pickup LS extended cab, 2.2l 4 cyl automatic. 200,000 miles. |

Re: Nasty Vibration 30-35mph
Universal joint worn out.
If your drive shaft is 2 piece and has a carrier bearing, it could be worn out.

Re: Nasty Vibration 30-35mph
was the drive shaft replaced with the rear end? i'm not sure, but it may need to be balanced? or maybe the bearing thing mentioned above.

Re: Nasty Vibration 30-35mph
We figured it out. The stupid mechanic we took it to to actually put the ujoint in since we couldn't get it hot enough to melt the nylon crap out did not put the two addition c-clips on the other two caps, so the caps are on but they're loose! ugh. Went and bought another ujoint to replace the caps c-clips.
