01 impala no 3rd or drive
Hi, My 01 Impala 3800 will not shift into 3rd or drive. It has only 77k miles on it. Any ideas where to start? Thanks!

First thing check for proper fluid level hot in park. Have the transmission/engine computer checked for codes. Post back any code no. Has transmission been serviced and what kind og fluid in it?

Re: 01 impala no 3rd or drive
With no 3 or OD I would suspect a loss of the 3rd clutch (applied in both ranges) from damage or solenoid B leaking through or not releasing. A scan might help, but a scan and pressure test is far better.
