Windshield Wiper washer wont turn off 2002 Intriguq

Not just the wipers but its the wiper washer button that seems to be stuck in the ON position causing the fluid to drain and the wipers to go nonstop. Taking the button off didnt help either. They just wont turn off.

Suggestions?

Re: Windshield Wiper washer wont turn off 2002 Intriguq

When pushing the washer fluisd button, the washer fluid switch is actually two switches, one for the washer fluid motor and the other activates the wiper motor for a bit. So it would appear that the button is physically stuck in, the activator is sticking/broken or the contacts have welded /fused together.

Never have been into an intrigues wiper washer switch, So not sure if you can open it up for repair, or if the switches are in the stalk or at the base unit, or if a lubricant spray may release it. A little lube and some light tapping may release it.

If you want to temporarily kill the window dry cleaning action you can pull the 25 amp wiper fuse in the instrument panel.
