Wipers Wont Turn Off

My wipers recently stuck on no matter what I did with the switch. I finally had to pull the fuse to stop them. I don't think its the switch. Anyone know if there is a relay or is there a module on the wiper motor itself.... thanks.

There is a switch internally in the wiper motor to sense when to shut off, or park the wipers. Typically this switch interrupts the power to the motor.
I would check this switch and any associated wiring.

Its a module. A long time known by gm defect in the soldering.

Buy a new module and fix it, very easy to do.

A very common issue with gm.

I have a 92 Yukon and I had to re-solder the board, the wipers wouldn't even turn on.
On mine I pulled the cover next to where the harness plugs in, and re-soldered all the external connector connections.
For those who aren't familiar with soldering, apply the heat to both the solder pad and the tab of the connector. If using a lower power iron, let the solder melt, wait 3-4 seconds and remove the heat. If using a higher power iron(or a soldering gun), hold 1-2 seconds after the solder melts, and remove.
The trick is to heat the tab and the pad enough so the solder sticks, but not too much heat where it lifts the solder pad and damages the PC board.
Test before putting the cover back on.

This is covered under a recall. My '96 Sierra was fixed no charge with a new module.

Heh, I didn't even know about that one. I had more fun fixing it on my own anyway. =]
