Question Replacing Speedometer Cable ??

The Speedmeter on my 1993 Mazda 323 is bouncing and vibrating in cold wheather. I think the problem is with the speedometer cable. I have Chilton manual but it does not show how to replace the cable. I appreciate if someone can provide me the procedure for replacing the cable.

Thanks.

Wink Easier than it looks

been there and made mistakes I hope I can prevent for you.
Provided that you have a manual transmission and no cruise.
The cable is in two sections.
One goes from the transmission up to a rubber pipe where there
is a junction. the other goes from there to the speedo.
In my case the cable broke between the trans and junction.
you just roll up the little rubber pipe and you'll find the junction.
Unscrew it and unscrew the cable from the transmission and
pull it out. It may be a little stiff in the transmission but it just
pops out.
